In a world where we are slapped in the face with negative thoughts and attitudes on a daily basis, how wonderful it is to sit down and treasure even the most simple little things in our every day lives!
Here is my list of little things I LOVE & TREASURE about fall:
The Upstate mountains colored by God’s hand
Carving pumpkins
Crisp cool mornings and evenings; sleeping with the windows open at night
Friday night high school football with my children

Final harvest of fresh vegetables
Sitting on the patio in the evening with a patchwork quilt, cup of hot tea, and my favorite magazine
Fresh orchard apples for making apple butter, apple pies, apple cider and caramel apples!
Raking the leaves & mowing for the last time
Pulling out the colorful sweaters and festive sweatshirts for those cool evenings out
The first pot of piping hot pot of taco soup.
Glittery Halloween decorations
Pumpkin patches and hayrides
Bonfires & roasting marshmallows
Mother’s sweet potato souffle smothered in marshmallows and pecans
Pumpkin spice candles flickering in the kitchen
the last of my summer roses
Crock pot dinners with the entire family
Pumpkin pies
Our annual family camp-out with my parents, siblings, nieces & nephew in the Smokey Mountains

I feel like my list could go on and on as there are so many glorious things to love about this autumn season!
