And then one day, I woke up.Boy, did I wake up!
As I watched the premiere on Sunday & Monday, instead of saying “I wish” and “I need”, I was saying, “I’ve been there, I know how you feel.”
This season, this show has taken on a whole new meaning for me.So after nearly seven months of eating healthy, working-out, beating plateaus (talk about discouraging), and even falling off the wagon where am I?
Let’s try 70 pounds less, 10 dress sizes smaller, and turning into one strong momma.
I have a son who loves going to the gym with me, and despite being a wrestler, he can’t keep up with me!
And, I have a husband who has started working out as well, and just by changing his diet is off of all his blood pressure medicines that he has taken since he was 19 years old!
But, I suppose right now, the greatest victory of all is this ….
For the first time since 2006 I am wearing my wedding rings.
It was a huge moment for me!
I know the new year brings a lot of resolutions for a lot of people, with losing weight being the number one goal. But most fail.
Why?
They don’t know why they are doing it.
As for me, this is my reasoning for this radical lifestyle change.
When you decide why you want to, jump on board. I’ll be right there beside you.
Fantastic Jennifer. That show also helped me to think a different way about food. I have only lost 44 pounds though – but am very happy about that. Happy New Year

It feels so great to be healthy – and the weight loss is a bonus. How great that you work out with you son and he gets to see you taking care of yourself 🙂

Oh you are inspirational. Just so you'll know, I've lost hundreds of pounds in my life. They always find me again and bring along a few of their friends. That's why I really liked the words from Spark People. True. It's all hard. What a wonderful way to celebrate by being able to wear your wedding rings again. They're so pretty and I know that it means the world to you. Continued blessings!

I lost 80 pounds 2006-2007, and gained back 28, and for past several years, gained and lost the same 20 lbs. I am so annoyed at myself. I try not to look back and make smart(er) decisions each day. I need to move more, pushing myself through the pain. xo
