Day Off

I think all of the kiddos have had a cold the last couple of weeks.  We’ve done very well fighting them and keeping those old colds from growing into anything worse …. thank goodness for vitamins, proper nutrition & Lysol spray.  We have also done well not missing anything going on, especially since Audley has been on the road traveling for work.
But now this momma has their colds…. all of them.  I think I am just exhausted which makes it seem so much worse.
Since my house is in order, our schedule is light this week, and I have a daughter who can drive and run errands, I am taking a couple of days off to take care of myself.

I have no desire to go to the doctor, so rest, lots of fluids, proper foods, gargling with salt water, homemade cough syrup and vitamins are my prescription that will hopefully knock this out quickly!

Mommas need to be at our best so that our homes stay happy as well as healthy.  It’s so hard not to be grumpy when you feel bad.  You know the old saying, “when Momma ain’t happy, ain’t no one happy”…..  How true it is, and I don’t like it one bit!  So taking these few days to take care of me allows for me to be at my best for my precious family.

I’ll be back later in the week.
I hope.

  1. Feel better soon and, if you can take Echinacea, I swear by it. How many times have I said this. You'd think I was running a cone flower farm.

You are wise to take the time to heal…get those kiddos to make you a great batch of chicken soup!
