My Getting Fit Bucket List

As I turned 41 a couple of weeks ago, I sat down with Audley and created a bucket list of sorts to help me stay focused on smaller goals in my weight loss journey.  I’ve surpassed my big goal of losing 100 pounds, so now it is on to the small goals as I have only 35 more pounds to lose and a little more toning up to do.  All along it has been goals that have gotten me through this little journey.
I like my list.  It’s going to be both a challenge and most fulfilling.
1. Climb Stone Mountain
2. Run a 5K
3. Go Snow Skiing
4. Buy a Little Black Dress to wear to Audley’s company reception in July
5. Actually wear the Vera Wang dress I bought 8 years ago as motivation to lose weight
6. Be a size 8 by summer’s end
7. Get through a 30 day Squat Challenge
8. Survive a 30 day Ab Challenge
9. Actually accept holiday party invites because I don’t wear plus sizes anymore
10.Finish my ISSA Fitness trainer certification by August
11.Get back out on the golf course
12.Play softball on an organised team

I’ve already started working on this list …. Last week I completed number 8 as MacKenzie Grace & Audley coached me through a 30 day Ab workout challenge and also completed number one as I climbed Stone Mountain (Georgia) with my family.

I know, people climb Stone Mountain everyday, but seeing that I couldn’t climb a flight of stairs a year ago at the Biltmore house without getting winded, this was a huge deal.

Yes, I am the blob in the middle of my family who didn’t want her picture made (Left)  & after my mile climb up the Mountain (right)
I have gone from a size 24 to a size 12 in 12 1/2 months.  Let me tell you, it feels good!!

Sometimes I think my friends get tired of me posting about my accomplishments and goals, but there is an ulterior motive.

I know so many people who are in the place I was just over a year ago.  It is NEVER to late and you are NEVER to old to change your life.  I work out in the gym with kids as young as my own and as old as 80.  I kid you not, there are 75 & 80 year old women and men working out everyday in the gym.

This isn’t easy, but it is by far the most challenge and satisfying thing I have done in my life.

Part of my summer plans with the kiddos include finishing off most of this list.  If you don’t mind, I’ll share it with you.
