I do not hide the fact that I am one proud Momma of some pretty amazing kiddos. From their love for the Lord, passion for mission work and helping others, and their desire for excellence in all that they do, they bring quite a bit of joy (and plenty of chaos) to my life.
So, it should have come as no surprise when MacKenzie Grace came to me and said that she wanted to do something to help with kids suffering effects from cancer. I asked what she had in mind and was told that she wanted to donate her hair to Locks of Love.
That sounds like something simple, but for MacKenzie Grace it was a very big deal.
MacKenzie Grace has always taken great pride in her hair and truly considered it her crowning glory….
For her to have it cut was a true sacrifice and totally from the heart.
I called my stylist, Chelsea at Capello Salon in Greenville and made the appointment for her.
She had so much hair that Chelsea was able to put it into TWO 14-inch ponytails!

She had her paperwork all filled out and ready to send off, so that her donation could immediately be used for some child who has had to deal with the horrors of chemo and hair loss.
There are no words to describe just how proud of her I am.
Oh my eyes have sprung a leak! What a girl!
Have a lovely fall week!
